Nai-Hwa spends her years exploring the world of design and continuously tries to figure out methods that applying human cognition to achieve intuitive interaction. This journey started from 2002, when she entered department of industrial design in Chung Gang University, Taiwan. She learned practical skills and knowledge of ways in making user-friendly products, at the same time, she spent her time getting familiar with graphical elements for communication design. She learned everything from the basic and because of her consistent hard work, she was honored by ASUS Taiwan with ASUS Awards 2006 Silver Prize for her graduate project "Bushes." She was also honored to participate the annual Young Designer Exhibition in Taipei World Trade Center.

After graduated with a Bachelor of Design, Nai-Hwa worked as a part-time research assistant for her university and tried to figure out her next step. She found out that even though she had the passion for product design, she was still not familiar with the research methods of users, she wanted to know more about the mental model of user and the decision making behind user interaction. Therefore,in the summer of 2007, she applied and entered Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology, located in Chicago, for her further exploration in user research and design planning. During the time in Institute of Design, Nai-Hwa learned how to conduct human-centered user research, data analyzing, and practiced the skills of concept evaluation and design implementations by participating various of projects.

Institute of Design enriched Nai-Hwa's experience and knowledge of user research and design planning, and this led to her decision of digging deeper into practical human-computer interaction design. She joined HCI program in DePaul University, Chicago in the summer of 2009, after she got her Master of Design from Institute of Design, IIT. In DePaul, Nai-Hwa studied human factor engineer, heuristic reviews, interface prototyping, and usability testing, elements for creating an intuitive interaction design. She applied her research background to her projects in DePaul, in which two combined made her confident when designing an interface, the ultimate goal she is pursuing. After graduated from DePaul Uneversity in March, 2011, Nai-Hwa is now working as a Lead User Experience Designer with Institute For Creative Integration, a place that she can explore more possibility for her contribution in design industry.
